I leave in two weeks.
I am shitting myself with anxiety. I will never be ready enough to relax.
I need investors immediately. This is my dream, to produce an event celebrating some dude frozen in ice in a shed for 20 years. Mommy dearest would be so proud.
Jimmy Ruffin 96 Tears (Orig. by ? And The Mysterians)
Reblogging because this reminds me of some good stories that I probably won’t write about because they’re weird and nobody cares. To compromise I’ll share a synopsis.
Through an odd series of circumstances that I don’t feel like explaining, my family knows ? from the aforementioned band ? & the Mysterians. Yeah, it’s a person & his real name is ?, as in the words “question mark,” and in case you were wondering his real-real name is not Mark. He hasn’t gone by his government name in so long that nobody really knows for sure what it is, although there are some documents that exist with some good suggestions. Doesn’t matter anyway.
He’s also batshit crazy. The wikipedia page is pretty accurate in saying that he is the type of crazy person who believes that he communicates with aliens. To his credit, his history raising Yorkies saved mine from the brink of death when he advised us on some homeopathic food theories so he’s not a bad person to know. However, he’s still basically nuts and I’ve lost at least an hour of my life listening to him tell stories of how he’s connected to Stephen King because the same aliens talk to King’s wife that he happens to know. Go figure.
Anyway, my point is that now he’s selling his “rock & roll tour bus” so if you can figure out how in the hell to get in touch with him through his geocities website, 96tears.net you might finally be to pick up that tour bus you’ve always wanted. If that’s not high on your summer To Do list it would still be worth taking a few minutes to watch the videos.
Then you should probably write to your senator or somebody & demand that they make a movie about him. Immediately. Call the Kuchar brothers or John Waters. You can’t make up stuff like this.
It’s a good gig at an awesome company. Job listing is here.
Come work for blip.tv. And Steve. He’s super awesome. And tall.
WHY MUST IT BE IN LA? Why?
That is me. I can do that.
If you play it add me.
