Guinea Piggin' It

It’s official - I’m a lab rat.

I just got selected to participate in a 6 month clinical study for migraines through the Michigan Head-Pain & Neurological Institute. It’s like the Holy Grail for a migraine sufferer so just getting my name on a file there is going to fulfill a huge goal of mine.

Now let’s just cross our collective fingers & hope that I don’t sprout a new limb or swell up and turn green.

“I‘m sorry guys. I guess this show, to me, is like i turn on my brain each week and show some stuff that’s in it. Sometimes it’s real and sometimes it’s not. Some things and people I like to show again (for now) some I don’t. Some I want to change because I’m showing them for different reasons from show to show. I don’t have a writing staff. The network doesn’t read my scripts. I don’t “vette” the stories the way a traditional show does. This stuff comes right out of my gut. I work very hard on the show and the scripts are forged carefully. But I try to trust my impulses and never do anything because I think it’s neccicary, if it isn’t compelling. I’ve worked on a lot of shows where you find yourself writing and shooting things that you don’t want because you feel the show “needs” them. And NOT doing things you want because you think you can’t do them or it hurts the show. I refuse to do either of those things on this “series”.” —

Louis CK in the comments of Alan Sepinwall’s Louie review on HitFix.com

Unconfirmed whether it’s actually him, but I’m convinced.

It’s hands down my favorite new show on television.

I think the show is unique because it isn’t a slave to continuity and its only responsibility is to the moment and making it as funny or interesting as possible. I would hate for the tone or the methods to be changed because it doesn’t fit into the neat little box some viewers need to have created for them.

Louie is perfectly imperfect the way it is.

I’m a huge, huge fan. Mad respect.

I worked @ Arts, Beats & Eats this weekend managing the Citizens Bank acoustic/cultural stage and one of the performers (Rude Dog) played this song. It’s been stuck in my head ever since. I guess you could say “Trouble” has been doggin’ my soul since the day he performed.

Haha, look at me, I made a Dad Joke.

does anyone want to have a pajamas and movie day with me?

For the record, I’ll never EVER turn down an opportunity to wear PJs during the day.

Remember this post? About the ocean from the other day? Me too. Imagine my surprise when I learn it has been reblogged here: http://denisesfairytale.tumblr.com/post/1049074852/its-yourself-that-youll-find-in-the-sea

This is, without a doubt, my biggest internet pet peeve. Not cool.
