I can’t remember the last time I watched a full episode of anything without the cable tweaking out. The fact that they charge people for this shitty service is astounding.
Good News/Bad News of the day
Good News: The new intern at work is awesome. She’s a grad student @ my alma mater in the program that I got my undergrad degree in, who moved here recently from Taiwan for school. She seems to be picking everything up at lightning speed, which is great because I think my boss was skeptical when I mentioned that I may have hired an intern without asking first. She seems to work quickly &...
Tittie bar. First time. Scared.
– Text from RobTodd, who is at his step-brother’s bachelor party. 30 minutes later he texted a one-word review: “Icky.”
In other news, I’ve been to at least 5x more strip clubs than my boyfriend.
Summer is Contagious
I just realized how many summer dresses I’ve picked up in the last 2 years and blew my own mind. I shouldn’t let it bother me this much though - they’re still cheaper than air conditioning.
What does it all mean?
I found a voicemail today from the mother of the guy I dated for 2.5 years in the middle of college. We haven’t been together for over 2 years & he lives half-way across the country now. His girlfriend has a baby (his baby, as far as anyone knows) on the way in about a month. We text occasionally, mostly to gossip about common friends, but it’s very rare.
What conceivable reason...
She's gone.

If any local friends want to come over and hang out later tonight, email or DM me for my address.
Holy shit dude, I can’t even imagine how you’re managing to keep it together. You have an impressive strength of character.
Badvice
Jezebel recently asked, “what was the weirdest class was you ever took in college?” I took several that I found odd for a number of reasons, but this one always makes peoples eyes go googly when I mention it so I thought I’d share.
The class was called “Marriage & Family” at the community college where I got my associate’s degree. The class itself...
I love you, Ypsilanti
A few days ago I sent an email to the township I live in asking who I should talk to about the persistent disruptions & violence in my neighborhood, specifically the kind that wakes me up at 3am on Saturday mornings because it’s going on in the un-lit park next to my house. I was concerned that after calling 911 on a weekly basis they would write me off as a dingbat. Two weeks ago at 4am...
After that glowing review
I didn’t want to see Splice before but now I think I do, only in an ironic sense.
Regarding the movie Splice; from Jezebel.com
ElphabaSkywalker I saw this movie with a rather schemish friend on Tuesday at a preview screening. At first, the movie seemed to be a look at parenthood by way of raising a monster. It had some humour and was well acted. Not great but enjoyable. However, the last third of the movie is utterly ridiculous and completely destroyed any goodwill I might of had for the film. The audience was howling...
