Can-I-Bus - Get Retarded

Holy crap I haven’t heard this in years. My sister and I bonded over this stuff when we were inappropriately young to be listening to such music.

“Howard Zinn, the Boston University historian and political activist who was an early opponent of US involvement in Vietnam and a leading faculty critic of BU president John Silber, died of a heart attack today in Santa Monica, Calif, where he was traveling, his family said. He was 87.” —

Howard Zinn, historian who challenged status quo, dies at 87 - Local News Updates - The Boston Globe

Damn.

RIP, Dr. Zinn.

(via ihatethismess) (via bryanboova) Devistated. Howard Zinn was a hero of mine. (via evangotlib)

I had no idea he was that far into his 80’s. What a loss.

Sorrow Bad Religion

theblackcat:

bad religion - sorrow

#2 in the series of greatest songs ever

Agreed. Although I had a pretty bad overall experience at the last Bad Religion show I went to (let’s just say it’s never a great night when someone gets beat up on your behalf) hearing this song live was one of my top 5 concert experiences of all time.

“But listen. You young people, with your twittering and your creating of content. And what is it, queefing? Twittering? Queefing? I don’t know what you young people are calling it. You’re just creating content, you’re creating content, you’re creating content. Now listen, young people, I understand narcissism. Clearly. Clearly, I understand narcissism. But at least I have the decency to hate myself.” —

I love this woman so hard.

6 Ways To Help Haiti → whatisleft.org

Haiti already deserved our humanitarian efforts before the 7.0 earthquake that knocked over hospitals, leveled their government buildings and killed an unmeasurable number of people yesterday. You can donate as little as $5 just by sending a short text message.

5 minutes and 5 dollars isn’t a big deal to us, but will mean the world to a country in the middle of a massive natural disaster.

Just for the record

Although I currently use it occasionally, I still loathe Twitter. I’ve never met a website so incredibly difficult to log into that it takes me more than 2 tries every time, even when I have the username/password combo correct. There are other reasons but I know people on the internet hate reading, so I’ll just keep that to myself.

This stupid Radar shit is the most annoying crap of my life

gorillasushi:

yodelmachine:

Sell it to Favstar, Tumblr.

Bottom right hand corner of the Radar - “hide” option. Just sayin’.

They make you hunt for it, but it’s there.

Where there’s a hate, there’s a way.

Giuliani: No domestic terror attacks under Bush administration → huffingtonpost.com

Excuse my French, but WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK, GIULIANI? Are you fucking mentally handicapped or something? Do you have some form of Alzheimer’s that caused you to forget about the THREE attacks, two of which happened in YOUR CITY, on 9/11?
